Tlacotalpan
The city of Tlacotalpan is located in the eastern coastal region of the Mexican state of Veracruz.
Tlacotalpan was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 because the "urban layout and architecture of Tlacotalpan represent a fusion of Spanish and Caribbean traditions of exceptional importance and quality.

Xico
Xico is a city located in the central part of the state of Veracruz. It produces coffee, tropical fruit, wine, handcrafts, and other products.

Xalapa
Xalapa is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality.
Xalapa comes from the Nahuatl roots "xalli" (sand) and "apan" (water place), which approximately means "spring in the sand."

Orizaba
Orizaba is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The name Orizaba comes from a Hispanized pronunciation of the Nahuatl name Ahuilizapan, which means "place of playing waters".
The old City Hall El Palacio de Hierro (The Iron Palace) in the centre of the city was designed by Eiffel. Built with 600 tons of Belgium steel, its parts were shipped from Austria during the government of Porfirio Díaz, to be built in Orizaba.
Orizaba has an important industrial life. There is, for example, the Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma company (a brewery), which was established in 1896 in Orizaba and where "Sol" beer is produced.

Fortín de las Flores
Fortín de las Flores is a city in the Mexican state of Veracruz.
The ravine of Metlac, which has been declared a National Park on account of its extremely rich biodiversity and beautiful landscapes, is the most famous feature of Fortín de las Flores.

El Tajín
El Tajín is a pre-Columbian archaeological site in the northern Gulf Coast of Mexico region. It was the major site of the Classic Veracruz culture and one of the largest cities in Mesoamerica during the Classic era. It is located in the state of Veracruz, Mexico with some 81% of the declared archaeological zone.
Tajín means city or place of thunder in the Totonac language, and is believed to have been one of the names for the Totonac God of Thunder, Lightning and Rain.

Papantla
Papantla is a city in the northern part of the Mexican state of Veracruz. The municipality is a principal producer of vanilla in Mexico.
Every Sunday and during holidays known as "fiestas" the famous Totonac group of local flyers known as "Los voladores de Papantla" perform the "palo volador" ritual next to the city's cathedral's grounds. In this agricultural, religious and astronomical ritual they climb an 80 m tall pipe and jump from the top with a rope after dancing.
